{"id":104,"date":"2014-01-24T12:44:56","date_gmt":"2014-01-24T19:44:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kv6o.com\/wordpress\/?p=104"},"modified":"2014-01-24T12:54:05","modified_gmt":"2014-01-24T19:54:05","slug":"php-weather-station-scripts-for-ultimeter-2100-cwop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kv6o.com\/wordpress\/2014\/01\/24\/php-weather-station-scripts-for-ultimeter-2100-cwop\/","title":{"rendered":"PHP Weather Station Scripts for Ultimeter 2100 (CWOP)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back in the summer of 2013 I was looking for a replacement for my laptop that was sending weather updates from my Peet Bros U2100 to the <a href=\"http:\/\/wxqa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">CWOP <\/a>network.\u00a0 My laptop died, and I thought this would be the perfect application for my Raspberry Pi.\u00a0 I found a script the the U800 (see post below for more) and got it working for the U2100, but it needed a few tweaks to work properly with the U2100.\u00a0 Specifically, the changes I made were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Changed time to localtime() &#8211; be sure your rasperry pi is set to the correct timezone.<\/li>\n<li>Changed humidity as\u00a0 the U2100 reports 3 digits.<\/li>\n<li>Changed wind reporting as U2100 reports in kph, not mph.<\/li>\n<li>Changed temp reporting to handle negative numbers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This code has been working for my U2100 for over 6 months with few problems, such as<br \/>\nthe negative temps not being handled correctly being the last thing fixed. I wasn&#8217;t<br \/>\naware of the issue till it got cold enough!\u00a0\u00a0 See the original post for more on how to use it with the RPi, many thanks to CloudHopper who provided it.<\/p>\n<p>My weather station&#8217;s data can be seen <a href=\"http:\/\/aprs.fi\/weather\/?call=KV6O\">HERE<\/a>.
