DG5 pre-built kit

It’s been a few years since I have done anything with this project, and while the interest has dropped off, I still get occasional requests for a built version and have since I first posted the plans. The info on how to build one is on this website and Github, but for some without the skills, desire, or time, I thought I try to sell a few handbuilt kits. Make no mistake – this isn’t a production run from a factory – I will be building the kit and mounting it in an enclosure. The only thing new here is a 3D printed faceplate for the LED version. I am using an extruded aluminum enclosure that measures 120mm x 97mm x 40 mm that’s available from Amazon should others want to build this enclosure. It’s been available on Amazon since 2015, so hopefully it dosen’t dissapear in a year!

Curretnly, the back plate is a drilled and laser engraved aluminum plate – one of the two that’s included with the enclosure. My metalworking skills aren’t all that great… further enhancing the handbuilt esthetic.

Please excuse the dusty card table – my shack isn’t setup at the moment!

My plan is to put this up an eBay or Etsy – thoughts?

Is it possible to purchase a complete, assembled DG-5 clon ?

I built the 1.5 version a few years back.
I see you are using the 13.8 DG5 output on the TS520 for power.
Are you using a CB connector ???
I have a TS530sp that needs new HV caps, I sent for new ones from K.4EAA.
So in the mean time I wil fire up the TS 520.
Thank you for all the work you have put in on this project.

You can use the 13.8VDC out of the back of the radio, I actuall cut up an actual DG5 jumper cable to make that power cable.
